Im missing something to customize the difficulty of the game. Some window with options to adjust length of the game, amount of zombies, amount off weapons, supplies, barricade strength, rescue rate of new survivors etc.  And of course the default setting which is pretty balanced of course.

I'm pretty sure that this has been mentioned before. I kind of like the unchangeable difficulty, it's better for highscore purposes and it really gives that struggling feeling that comes from a Zombie movie.

If you really want to try something hard, play Nethack, this game is a walk in the park compared to that.

Yeah, but its pretty easy to finish with all buildings and small army of survivors (5000+ score) once you know the ropes. Three from five trys in which you get eaten catches the "struggling feeling that comes from a Zombie movie" much more.

I did think about adding a difficulty adjuster, but that was put to rest with the score upload. It needs a level-playing field so the scoring is fair.

To echo Coded One's comment - the game has two stages. The first is simply surviving, which takes a few attempts. The second is surviving with style. As the scoreboard shows, there is a method to getting a 5000+ score. However, there's a new degree of skill required for each 1000 points above that.

What I might put in v2.0 is a super survival mode where the game doesn't end until all your survivors die/lose all your buildinga. It'd have a separate scoreboard to the 60-hour one.

Today i scored 7749 and i dont feel any satisfaciton that i beat my previous record. Nobody died! What is a zombie apocalypse without dying survivors?

Im glad that you planing to create zafehouse 2. The strategy-management game set in zombie apocalypse is unique!

I'm still trying to figure that one out.  I've been using a dry-erase board to keep track of leveling, but it's tough to figure out how to time your changes in strategies for each day/night.

You could always just have separate scoreboards for different difficulties.  To Beowulf if you haven't already take a look at the source code to get a better optimization for your logistics, it's how I finally managed to perfect my score, and luck never hurts.  Also if to the starter of this topic if you're feeling enthusiastic you can also download the source and change or add to the source code to get the game to your own difficulty preferences, it you would like I could do a little editing of the code myself and upload it for you with changeable settings.
